S3 E24: Real Talk: The Season Finale
Season 3 of Jerking Around just wrapped, and Crystal and Tisha took a moment to look back, laugh a little, and get real about where life is taking them next. With summer around the corner, they’re hitting pause on podcasting to soak up family time and make some good memories while the kids are out of school.
The whole episode had a chill, honest vibe. They talked about how life moves in seasons. Sometimes you go full speed, and sometimes you slow down. Crystal joked about how she sneaks in travel even though her husband isn’t a big fan of it. She’s figured out how to make it happen using points and smart planning. It’s not about fancy trips, just doing what brings joy.
One of the best parts was how real they got about imperfection. Tisha said it perfectly: “Our passion is giving Christian women permission to not be perfect.” They opened up about the messiness of life, the unexpected lessons, and the growth that comes from just living it all out.
Crystal shared how losing her dad made her more present and grounded. Tisha talked about stepping back from chasing big business goals and choosing what actually makes her happy. It’s the kind of honesty that makes you feel like you're sitting on the couch with two best friends who really get it.
They also chatted about parenting older kids and trying to let go without totally freaking out. Crystal called it “parenting with God,” where you guide your kids but also give them some space to figure things out.
Oh, and they admitted to using what they call the “hot dog technique.” It’s when you say something like, “I mean, I wouldn’t do that... but go ahead,” which sounds supportive but is totally not. They laughed at themselves and owned it. We’ve all been there.
Before signing off, they gave a sneak peek of what’s coming in Season 4, including live events and even more storytelling. And their final bit of advice? “Take the trip. Do the thing that scares you.” Simple, true, and so very Jerking Around.
